Our client is a trusted roofing contractor delivering high-quality roofing solutions across commercial and residential projects. With a strong reputation for reliability, workmanship, and safety, we continue to grow and are now looking to strengthen our commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
The Role
They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial and financial management of roofing projects from tender through to final account. This is a key role supporting project delivery, cost control, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts
Measuring works and producing accurate cost reports
Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management
Monitoring project costs to ensure financial targets are met
Supporting tender submissions and pricing work
Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients
Ensuring compliance with contractual and commercial procedures
About You
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction (roofing experience desirable but not essential)
Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost control
Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Proficient in MS Excel and relevant commercial software
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (preferred)
