About the Role Our client is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor based at the Hampton office, with hybrid working and site involvement on a major project.Reporting directly to the Managing QS, you'll play a key role in managing several high-value accounts or overseeing the full financial performance of smaller projects—giving you real ownership and impact from day one.What You'll Be Doing Managing applications, valuations, and cost value reconciliationDriving cost control, forecasting, and monthly reporting (value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow)Overseeing supply chain management and subcontractor relationshipsSupporting Risk & Value Management to optimise project outcomesHandling contract management, including NEC/IChemE frameworks and budgetary controlPreparing subcontract enquiries, negotiating and setting up contractsEnsuring all contractual documentation and notifications are up to datePromoting a strong health & safety culture, escalating risks where neededMaintaining close liaison with site teams, subcontractors, and clientsProviding commercial and contractual advice to project teams About You Essential: Proven experience as a Quantity SurveyorDegree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)RICS accredited or working towards APCBackground working with a main contractor Desirable: Experience within the Water sectorKnowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts Company informationAt First Recruitment Group we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
