Quantity Surveyor – North-West Sites/Manchester Office – Water/Water Treatment Projects – From £48,000 salary

Summary: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team working on water projects across North West sites, specifically within the AMP 8 Framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management and cost control of projects involving water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations, and shafts.

This role requires active involvement in contract administration, cost forecasting, value engineering, and risk management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to provide accurate commercial advice and support procurement activities. Strong knowledge of construction contracts and frameworks relevant to the water sector is essential.

Skills: • Commercial management within water and wastewater treatment projects • Cost forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting • Contract administration and management • Value engineering and cost control • Stakeholder and supplier management • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Understanding of AMP 8 Framework requirements • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Certifications & Standards: • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline • Knowledge of NEC and IChemE contracts • CSCS card (or equivalent)
