The Opportunity

A great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist contractor delivering projects across the UK within the food & beverage, pharmaceutical and industrial sectors.

This role offers the chance to work within a growing commercial team, managing projects from pre-construction through to final account. You’ll play a key role in driving strong commercial performance while working on technically interesting projects across a range of industrial environments.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:

*

Managing subcontract packages ranging from £5k to £5m.

*

Reviewing contracts and negotiating favourable commercial terms.

*

Preparing and managing project budgets and cost controls.

*

Producing monthly valuations and cost reports.

*

Capturing variations and managing change control.

*

Supporting operational teams with contractual administration.

*

Visiting sites to value works and assess variations.

*

Monitoring project performance through cost vs value analysis.

*

Managing subcontractor relationships and agreements.

*

Negotiating and agreeing final accounts.

About You

*

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

*

Strong understanding of JCT and NEC4 contracts.

*

Commercially aware with strong attention to detail.

*

Confident working independently and managing workload.

*

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

*

Degree in Quantity Surveying or HNC/HND in Construction.
