We have a new opportunity to join The Compleat Food Group as a Raw Materials Manager based at out chilled food manufacturing site in Clitheroe! You will be accountable for material control from supplier though to production facility, including stock levels, waste control and resource planning.

Hours: Monday Thursday, 8:30 17:00, Friday, 8:30 16:00 Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 Your Duties Will Include: Leadership, development, and performance management of raw materials team Own and manage Materials Required Planning (MRP) system including maintenance of data and configuration critical to MRP runs Ensure system data is accurate, including stock holding, batch and expiry information Oversee the purchasing of raw materials covering fresh, frozen, and ambient from UK and Europe To provide short medium and long-term forecasts to suppliers Daily reporting to identify and manage stock requirements for production Ensure timely delivery of materials to deliver the production plan Work with centralised procurement team to coordinate long term forecasts Manage day-to-day challenges and issues, escalating where necessary Identify and deliver improvement opportunities to increase productivity, reduce complexity, and reduce cost Work with stock control to mitigate exposure and waste from short-dated inventory Work with suppliers and internal technical functions to manage shelf-life extensions on raw materials
Knowledge, Experience and Skills: Purchasing and/or materials management experience within a food manufacturing or similar FMCG environment Advanced Excel skills MRP System knowledge (M3 Cloudsuite advantageous) Vendor management knowledge Stock holding and costs knowledge Organisation skills Resilient and pro-active Analytical skill Self-motivated
