ABOUT THE CLUB:
Located in Londons Mayfair andoverlooking Green Park, the Royal Air Force Club offers first-class facilitiesand a home from home' to its 24,000 members, predominantly serving and former officers of the RAF and Allied Air Forces and their families. Having opened its doors in 1922, the Club is full of history and character. With 110 bedrooms and 10 meeting and banqueting rooms, the Club is a truly hidden gem with a modern and elegant interior and facilities.
ROLE DESCRIPTION: As a Receptionist you will help ensure the smooth operation and running of the Front Office department at The Royal Air Force Club. You will undertake Duty Manager Responsibilities as and when required.
R ESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: To provide all members and visitors to the club with a warm and friendly welcome. To always maintain and adhere to all club standards and front office procedures.
To check in and check out (Opera system) members and guests, according to club standards.
To assist in the sale of club shop items & guest supplies.
Liaise effectively with all other departments in the club to ensure member and guest expectations are met.
Take reservations in absence of the reservations team.
Ensure that member names and ranks are also used where possible
Pay particular attention to VIP members.
Respond effectively to and resolve member complaints/issues. Report as necessary & take action to avoid similar future challenges.
Carry out all tasks as per the front office daily checklist.
Assist with security procedures where required.
Demonstrate impeccable time keeping in accordance with club standards
Support the concierge team where required.
Hours: 40 hours per week 5 days per week (including weekends) 8 hour shifts
