Job Description

Our client, a prestigious City law firm, is seeking an experienced Records Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in records management within a legal environment.

Duties will include:

\n\n

 

\n\n
    \n\t
  • Overseeing the day to day operations of the records function, and escalating issues to the Facilities Manager when necessary
  • \n\t
  • Managing the archiving, retrieval, and return of deeds and wills as needed
  • \n\t
  • Retrieving and returning files in a timely manner upon request
  • \n\t
  • Responding promptly and accurately to archiving queries via email and Microsoft Teams
  • \n\t
  • Coordinating with the external archiving storage providers, ensuring clear instructions are given for timely and complete collections and deliveries
  • \n\t
  • Conducting inductions for relevant new employees on records management services and procedures
  • \n\t
  • Preparing monthly workload and activity reports, including recommendations for additional resources if required
  • \n\t
  • Supporting the wider team in the annual review and update of archiving and destruction policies.
