OverviewJob Title: Regional QHSE Manager - EuropeLocation: RemoteSalary: £50-55k - Negotiable depending on sector experienceBenefits: Car Allowance £4500, Pension and Flexi-fund full of Benefits worth £1175Are you looking for that next step as an experienced QHSE Manager and are from the Engineering; Oil & Gas or Asset Management sectors with a passion for driving safety, quality, and environmental excellence?Are you happy to travel UK Wide?ResponsibilitiesResponsible for management and implementation of Penspen’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures in compliance with all relevant legislative guidance and best practice. Nominated person overall responsible.Ensure Quality, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Management and Environmental Systems are monitored, co-ordinated and operated in accordance with their policies and procedures.Ensure that Quality, OHS and Environmental management policy objectives, assignments, delegations and methods are effective and reflective of Penspen’s objectives in these areas.Provide specialist expertise and advice on OHS, and Environmental matters.Facilitate the maintenance and management of OHS and well-being through systems, audit/inspection and the establishment of high standards and expectations on employees of safety aware behaviours/performance.To reveal defects or irregularities in any of the elements examined, and to indicate possible improvements and verify the implementation of solutions.To uncover potential danger-spots and eliminate waste or loss, initiate action to prevent the occurrence of product non-conformity.Provide appropriate accident investigation methodology to ensure personal accountability and improve risk management, including monitoring and interpretation of statistical data.Verify that corrective action procedures are effective to identify and record any product quality problems.Ensure that all personnel carry out their Quality, OHS and Environmental functions according to company policy.Ensure internal and external audits where required, are carried out and the findings reported in writing to the QHSE Manager / Business Director / Operations Manager.Ensure that effective action is taken to resolve any non-conformance in the Quality, OHS or Environmental system in a timely and effective manner.To collate statistical data and management information relating to the various identified targets in order to monitor the effectiveness of the service provided. This information shall be provided for analysis at Management Review Meetings.Provide timely monthly reports and analysisAny other reasonable duty required by line managerMaintain listing of current legislation relating to Health and Safety and Environmental safety matters in order to satisfy the obligatory demands.To implement and work within the guidelines for the company quality systems.To be aware of Company and building requirements for fire, health, safety and environmental procedures.To comply with the above procedures as applicable for the role.Knowledge / Experience (Skills)Knowledge of the practical application of engineering, this includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and servicesKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and modelsSpecialist knowledge of wide range of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Safety issuesExcellent Management skills - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.Client and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal services. This includes client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of client satisfactionSelf-motivated with ability to prioritise workloadGood oral, written and interpersonal skillsMust be able to communicate in a professional manner and in a pressurised environmentExperience of recording accurate data and attention to detailBe reliable, responsible and safety-consciousSolving technical problems quickly and smoothlyWilling to develop further and keep up with advancing technologyBe able to undertake activities involving significant physical activityWorking as a Team Player and ability to work aloneComputing skills required; Microsoft Office 2007 applications, Word, Access and Excel at leastGood Organisational and Time Management skillsGood Numeracy & LiteracyA full UK driving license is requiredWilling to travel/work away from homeQualificationsPreferably be an incorporated Engineer and working towards chartered status.Professional qualification in Health, Safety and EnvironmentalEducated to minimum of degree level or equivalent standard.Management qualificationExperience with QHSE Management SystemsEnvironment, Health & SafetyIn addition to the role Responsibilities, every employee has overall responsibility for:Taking reasonable care for your own Health and Safety and the Health and Safety of others who may be affected by your actions.Working with the Company to ensure a high standard of Environmental Health and Safety management by following the site EHS procedures. Ensuring compliance with all relevant quality standards/procedures in your area. This includes reporting any deviations from these standards/procedures, completing corrective actions and making recommendations to prevent similar deviations in the future.
