We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a motivated and ambitious Sales Consultant to join their growing Fire Suppression team.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone at entry or mid-level in their sales career who is looking to develop within a structured, supportive and well-established organisation. Our client is keen to speak with individuals who are driven, proactive, and eager to build a long-term career in technical sales.


Monday – Friday | £28,000–£30,000 (DOE) + Commission

Location: Basildon, Essex


Industry experience is not essential, full product training and ongoing coaching will be provided.


The Opportunity

In this role, you will support the growth of installation and service revenue by developing new business opportunities and managing customer relationships within your assigned area.

With full training and support, your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating new business leads through outbound activity, networking and prospecting
  • Building and developing relationships with new and existing customers
  • Identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate fire suppression solutions
  • Attending customer sites to understand requirements (support provided where needed)
  • Preparing quotations and proposals, with technical team support for more complex bids
  • Delivering presentations and solution overviews to customers
  • Managing your sales activity and pipeline through a CRM system
  • Working towards realistic monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery


This role does not involve managing large national accounts, it is designed to allow someone to grow and develop their sales capability within a defined territory.


What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, telesales, or business development within an office based or field based environment.
  • B2B experience advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confident, personable and proactive approach
  • Motivated by targets and earning commission
  • Organised with good time management skills
  • Comfortable using IT systems and CRM platforms
  • Full UK driving licence
