One of our Clients in Slough, Berkshire is seeking to recruit a dedicated and ambitious Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead and grow an effective and efficient service, ensuring the highest standards of care for children.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Proven experience managing an Ofsted-rated Good or Outstanding children’s home.\n\n * A minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential care for children, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.\n\n * QCF Level 5 / NVQ 4 Management in Care / Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children & Young Peoples Services (RQF) is essential.\n\n * Passionate, committed, and enthusiastic leader with a drive to make a difference.\n\n * Manage the Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies, and the Statement of Purpose for the home.\n\n * Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Safeguarding Legislation and Procedures the Children Act, other relevant legislation and guidance and company policies and procedures.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations.\n\n * Lead and develop a high-performing staff team through training and supervision.\n\n * Manage budgets, payroll, and financial reporting.\n\n * Maintain positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals.\n\n * Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring best practices in child protection.\n\n * Drive continuous improvement and meet a minimum Ofsted rating of GOOD.\n\nBenefits:\n\n * Progressive work environment with ample development opportunities.\n\n * Competitive salary with a bonus package for achieving a “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted rating.\n\n * Autonomy in decision-making within the role.\n\n * Comprehensive support during Ofsted inspections.\n\n * Strong support from Senior staff\n\n * 40 hours per week plus out of hours on call rota\n\nPlease note: Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to respond to all applicants.
