We are seeking a dedicated, highly skilled, and experienced
Home Manager
to lead our nursing home. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, clinical excellence, and regulatory compliance are maintained. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to provide a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the home meets and exceeds all standards set by the
Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) .
Clinical Leadership:
Oversee clinical practices to ensure residents receive person-centered care that meets their physical and emotional needs.
Operational Management:
Manage the home's budget, occupancy levels, and overall financial performance.
Staff Development:
Lead, mentor, and supervise the staff team, ensuring robust recruitment, training, and retention strategies are in place.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular audits and implement improvement plans to maintain excellence in service delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you
must
meet the following criteria:
Professional Registration:
You must be currently registered with the
Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
with a valid PIN.
Social Care Registration:
You must be registered with
Social Care Wales (SCW) .
Qualifications:
You must hold an
NVQ Level 5
in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Experience:
* A minimum of
two years experience
as a Home Manager within a nursing home setting.
Proven experience working directly alongside
Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW)
and a deep understanding of the RISCA 2016 regulations.
Skills:
Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a "good" or "outstanding" track record in previous CIW inspections.
