Job Title: Registered Service Manager – New Supported Living Service
Salary: Up to £45,000 (based on experience)
Hours: Permanent, Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Location: North Yorkshire
Setting: Adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health, and Complex Needs
Overview:
Compass is supporting a national provider of supported living care, who offer support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, to recruit a Registered Service Manager for a brand new supported living service based in Selby, North Yorkshire. The service supports 7 people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including those identified under the Transforming Care Programme. The site is a new-build development in a popular historical market town, comprising a mix of detached and semi-detached 1 and 2 bedroom houses with private gardens, gated entry, and parking.
The Candidate:
As the Registered Service Manager, you will report to the Area Director and have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the service. This includes leading and managing the staff team, ensuring high-quality care, compliance with CQC standards, and collaboration with the company's quality team. You will promote independence and personal development for the people supported, while ensuring staff wellbeing and efficient service delivery. Strong leadership, communication, and commercial management skills are essential.

Essential Criteria:
Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (support for Level 4 and 5 available) Previous experience as a Service Manager in Residential or Supported Living services Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs Knowledge of CQC standards, regulations, and quality frameworks Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills Flexibility to work on a shift basis and be on call
Location:
This role is based in North Yorkshire, and is commutable from York, Leeds, Doncaster, Goole, Wakefield, and Castleford.
