Children’s Registered Manager – EBD Home (CM22) Location: CM22 (Essex) Salary: £60,000–£75,000 (depending on experience) + performance bonuses Contract: Full-time, permanent About the Role We’re looking for an experienced, passionate Registered Manager to lead a small, nurturing EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) children’s home in the CM22 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a high-quality service, build a strong team culture, and create a safe, stable environment where young people can thrive. What You’ll Be Doing Leading the day-to-day running of a children’s residential home Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations, and safeguarding standards Developing a therapeutic, child-centred culture that promotes positive outcomes Managing, mentoring, and developing a high-performing staff team Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies Building strong relationships with local authorities, professionals, and families Driving continuous improvement and preparing the home for Ofsted inspections What We’re Looking For Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in an EBD setting Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and regulatory frameworks Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) A confident leader who can inspire, motivate, and maintain high standards Someone resilient, emotionally intelligent, and committed to improving young people’s lives What We Offer Competitive salary + bonus structure Supportive senior leadership team Clear progression routes within the organisation Ongoing training and professional development A chance to genuinely shape a home and make a lasting impact
