Reports to: Deputy & Registered Manager
*We provide a salary of between £30,000 - £32,090 D.O.E per year and this includes a sleep-in allowance. You will be required to work approx. 11 shifts and 11 sleep ins. *

_*Our newly refurbished children’s home in Wolverhampton is opening in the upcoming weeks.*_

*Job Purpose:*
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Support workers to work at our home.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting individuals with varying needs, ensuring they receive the care and support necessary to enhance their quality of life. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and team members. To promote the welfare, safety, personal development and well-being of young people being cared for.
· To ensure that the physical, emotional and psychological needs of the young people are met where at all possible.
· To participate in the day-to-day operation of the service provided in accordance with the organisational guidelines and objectives.
· To create within the home, a normal domestic and nurturing environment for the young people in the home.
*Duties of the role as follows and not limited to: *
* Be able to support young people to attend education daily, follow Educational Health care plans.
* Complete and manage paperwork which includes good report writing skills to record daily documentation.
* Follow care plans to ensure the young persons need are being met.
* Support the young people to attend medical appointments, doctors, dentist, opticians, CAMHS.
* Be a role model.
* Assist, plan and engage in activities and hobbies with the young person.
* Meet the emotional and physical needs of our young people.
* Help build positive relationships.
* Be able to liaise with all other professionals such as police, social worker, Ofsted.
* Interact and engage in visual and over the phone contact for the young people with families.
* Excellent communication skills

* To create a friendly and relaxed environment for the young people encouraging enjoyment, self-motivation, self-esteem and respect for themselves and others.
* To assist with the day-to-day administration of the home by completing and maintaining accurate recordings.
* To promote and uphold anti-discriminatory practices and equal opportunity practices in line with Company policy.
* Record and administer medication.
* Ideally you would have experience working with Children and young people with learning disabilities and emotional behavioural difficulties.
*QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:*
1. Genuine passion for working with children and young people
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
3. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
4. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
5. UK Driving Licence
6. Right to work in the United Kingdom
7. QCF Level 3/4: Children and Young people’s Workforce (Or prepared to complete within 2 years of entering the field)
8. Over 21 Years age in-line with Ofsted regulation
