We’re looking for an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) or senior leader within children’s residential care who’s ready to take on a strategic, multi-site role with real impact.
This is an opportunity to step into (or continue in) a senior leadership position where your expertise will directly shape the quality, safety, and success of children’s residential homes. You’ll work closely with Registered Managers to strengthen services, support teams, and drive consistently positive Ofsted outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Acting as the Ofsted Responsible Individual across a portfolio of residential children’s homes
* Providing hands-on leadership, mentoring and professional guidance to Registered Managers
* Ensuring full compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
* Leading safeguarding oversight, governance, and quality assurance processes
* Supporting homes to achieve Good and Outstanding Ofsted ratings
* Driving continuous improvement across multiple services
* Maintaining strong relationships with Ofsted, local authorities, and commissioning partners
* Supporting operational oversight including staffing, budgets, and service development
This is a visible, influential role where you’ll balance compliance with compassion and strategic thinking with practical support.
What We’re Looking For
* At least 3 years’ experience as a Responsible Individual, Registered Manager, or senior leader within children’s residential care
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
* Strong working knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding legislation, and regulatory compliance
* Experience improving standards and inspection outcomes across multiple homes
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across Surrey and neighbouring counties
* A genuine commitment to safe, high-quality, child-focused care
