Key Responsibilities

European Operations: Manage the end-to-end movement of road freight between the UK and Europe, covering both imports and exports.

Service Diversity: Coordinate a high volume of FTL , LTL, and Groupage shipments.

Carrier Management: Negotiate with European hauliers and partners to secure reliable equipment and competitive rates.

*

Customs Compliance: Oversee the necessary transit documentation and customs clearances to ensure border crossings are seamless.

*

Client Service: Provide proactive tracking and clear communication to customers, ensuring they are updated at every stage of the journey.

*

Commercial Accuracy: Ensure all job files are correctly costed and invoiced to maximize department profitability.

Requirements

Experience: 2+ years in a UK-based road freight forwarding role with a focus on European markets.

*

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of groupage networks, trailer planning, and current customs requirements (T-forms, etc.).

*

Systems: Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CargoWise, MultiFreight, or similar.

*

The Mindset: A fast-paced problem solver with excellent geographical knowledge and a sharp eye for detail.
