Benefits: Competitive starting salary of £35,000 per annum Uncapped OTE of up to £60,000 per annum No commute - start and finish on your driveway Fully equipped company van, work tablet, mobile phone, and fuel allowance 23 days annual leave, increasing to 25 days with service Overtime paid at time and a half Consistent shifts, with shifts known 12 months in advance Opportunities for ongoing technical training and professional development Access to healthcare, wellbeing schemes, and free personal/household breakdown cover Company life assurance linked to pension scheme Work with one of the UKs largest roadside repair businesses Duties: Respond promptly to roadside breakdown assistance requests across Cardiff and the surrounding region as a dedicated Roadside Vehicle Technician Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues in various makes and models Work independently in a fully equipped company van, providing on-the-spot solutions Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, repaired, and ready to safely continue their journey Maintain high standards of customer service, especially when assisting distressed clients Manage your workload methodically and independently, demonstrating organisation and reliability Comply with shift patterns, typically between 6:00am-12:00pm, with a maximum of 1 in 2 weekends, offering days off during the week if you work on weekends Candidate Specification: Qualified at least to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Proven mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills across a variety of vehicle types, from city cars to 4x4s Valid UK driving licence with minimal points Able to work independently and methodically Friendly, calm, and charismatic personality to represent our client positively Resilient and able to assist customers in high-pressure or distressing situations Organisation skills to effectively manage on-road tasks and workload If you are a dedicated Roadside Vehicle Technician eager to enjoy a dynamic role on the road, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a leader in roadside repairs.
