The company has built a strong reputation for quality and reliability, delivering expert services in brickwork, scaffolding, and both flat & pitched roofing. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Roofing Estimator or Assistant Estimator to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates across a diverse portfolio of roofing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced estimators and ambitious assistants looking to develop their career within a professional, supportive subcontractor with a long-standing industry presence. Key Responsibilities

Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for flat and pitched roofing projects Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess project requirements Conducting material take-offs and producing accurate bills of quantities Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations Analysing labour, material, and time requirements to ensure accurate pricing Identifying risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions Supporting the commercial and pre-construction teams throughout the tender process Attending pre-tender and post-tender meetings where required Ideal Candidate

Experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator within the roofing or wider construction sector (or strong construction knowledge for junior applicants) Understanding of flat and pitched roofing systems, materials, and installation methods Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn Highly organised and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Relevant qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or estimating (preferred but not essential) How to Apply Please send an up-to-date CV in strict confidence.
