Safety Engineer – SC Cleared

As a Safety Engineer, you’ll support the delivery of Safety & Assurance activities across major operational service changes. Working under the guidance of the Safety & Assurance Manager, you will:

• Develop and contribute to Safety & Assurance Plans, arguments and evidence packs
• Collate inputs from Systems/Software Assurance, Human Factors and Cyber Security
• Facilitate hazard identification workshops and derive safety‑driven requirements
• Proactively flag and resolve issues across safety, resilience, human performance, and cyber
• Support the production of critical assurance documents needed for regulatory approval
• Apply key Safety Management Procedures (SP400, SP401, SP403, SP406, SP409)

Experience

• SC Clearance (active) – required to start
• A CertHE/HNC in a STEM or assurance‑related discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain complex operational and technical concepts simply
• A positive, adaptable mindset and willingness to learn under supportive leadership
