Sales Engineer – Midlands
Location: Midlands, UK Contract: Full-time
About the Role We are seeking a technically driven Sales Engineer to join a growing business, supporting the expansion of operations across the UK. This role offers exposure to a variety of processes and applications, helping the business scale from 10 to 50 employees over the next 3–4 years.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to the sales team, identifying, developing, and implementing gas application solutions for customers.
Engage with clients to understand process needs and recommend appropriate gases, technologies, and equipment.
Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations, and ROI-focused business cases.
Manage application trials, demonstrations, and commissioning activities on customer sites.
Collaborate with internal teams including R&D, marketing, and operations to align solutions with market demands.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
Support training initiatives for internal teams and customers on technology applications and best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
HNC, NVQ, or Degree in Engineering or similar discipline.
Solid experience in technical sales.
Strong understanding of applications in industries such as the food sector.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
