Are you an experienced SCADA/HMI Engineer who loves solving complex problems, shaping high‑quality control systems, and working on projects that genuinely matter?
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll design, develop, implement and test SCADA/HMI solutions that meet rigorous engineering and safety standards. You'll play a key part in the full systems lifecycle, from requirements capturing through to system testing, documentation, and commissioning.
You will:
Design & Engineering
Develop HMI/SCADA applications (e.g., Rockwell FactoryTalk View) using standardised objects, faceplates and intuitive visual displays.
Prepare high‑quality engineering documentation such as URS/RTM, FDS/SDD, SSS, test specifications and I/O schedules.
Work closely with PLC engineers to define the control system architecture, network diagrams and interface documentation.
Testing & Delivery
Lead structured in‑house testing for integrated PLC + SCADA systems, ensuring rigorous change control and version management.
Support site acceptance testing and commissioning activities as required.
Contribute to installation & commissioning documentation, O&M manuals and operator training materials.
Collaboration & Leadership
Support the Technical Lead and Project Manager with schedule management, scope changes and technical reporting.
Work with engineering teams, stakeholders and site personnel to ensure designs meet real‑world constraints and plant‑level requirements.

Essential Experience
Strong background in HMI/SCADA design and implementation, ideally with Rockwell FactoryTalk View.
Experience with ergonomic interface design and Human Factors for industrial GUIs.
Proficiency in SCADA programming, object‑oriented scripting (C++, VBScript, Python), and industrial communication protocols.
Knowledge of SQL databases/historians.
Significant experience in SCADA within highly regulated environments (nuclear preferred).
Strong documentation skills - functional specs, detailed designs, test procedures.
Experience integrating networks, databases and third-party systems with SCADA platforms.
Excellent fault‑finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
