Role: School IT Technician

Location: Hereford (On-site)

Our client, a leading organisation in the education sector, is hiring a School IT Technician to support the day-to-day delivery of IT services across a busy school environment. This role offers the opportunity to develop hands-on technical experience while supporting staff and students with the technology that enables modern learning.

Working as part of a small, supportive IT team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining reliable systems, resolving technical issues, and ensuring classroom technology runs smoothly.

What you’ll do

Provide first-line IT support to staff and students across the school

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues

Set up and maintain devices including desktops, laptops, and classroom equipment

Assist with user account management and system access

Support the rollout of new hardware, software, and IT upgrades

You’ll work closely with teaching staff, administration teams, and IT colleagues to ensure technology across the school remains reliable, secure, and fit for purpose.

A basic understanding of IT systems, hardware, and troubleshooting

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

Good communication skills when supporting non-technical users

An interest in developing a career in IT support

Any relevant IT qualifications or certifications would be beneficial
