Are you an experienced Science Teacher ready to take on additional responsibility from September?
A well-regarded secondary school in Southwark is seeking a Science 2iC (Second in Charge) to support the leadership of their Science department from September. This role would suit an established teacher with strong subject knowledge and a track record of good outcomes, who is keen to step into a middle leadership position.
You will be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 in your specialism. Working closely with the Head of Science, you will help lead on curriculum development, assessment and maintaining high standards across the department.

Key Responsibilities: Teach Science across KS3KS4 (KS5 in specialism where appropriate) Support the Head of Science with the day-to-day running of the department Lead on an agreed area of responsibility, such as curriculum, assessment or KS4 outcomes Monitor pupil progress and support intervention strategies Contribute to departmental planning and staff development Person Specification: QTS and a degree in a Science subject Proven track record of strong classroom practice and pupil outcomes Experience teaching GCSE Science (A-Level desirable) Organised, reliable and ready to take on leadership responsibilities Why Apply?
