Job Title: Science Teacher \n Location: West Drayton, London (Alternative Provision for 11-18 year olds)\n Contract Type: Permanent\n Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday\n Pay: £180-£240 per day (dependent on experience)\n\nWe are a caring and inclusive alternative-provision setting based in West Drayton. We support young people aged 11-18 who are unable to thrive in mainstream education - working with them to reengage with learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. Our ethos is centred around compassion, resilience, inclusion and personalised support.\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our team on a permanent basis.

In this role you will:\n\nPlan and deliver engaging, practical and differentiated Science lessons to students at Key Stages 3-5\nAdapt teaching to meet individual needs - including emotional, social, behavioural or additional learning needs - helping students reengage and succeed\nProvide a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom where students feel valued, respected and motivated\nCollaborate with pastoral and support staff to contribute to each learner's broader wellbeing and progress\nHelp foster a positive school culture that encourages growth, confidence and personal developmentWhat We Are Looking For\n\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent - or substantial experience teaching Science in secondary or alternative provision settings\nStrong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics\nExperience or willingness to work with students who have additional needs (e.g. SEMH, behavioural or social challenges) - though support and training will be provided\nExcellent communication, empathy, patience and classroom-management skills\nA flexible, caring and student-centred approachWhat We Offer\n\nA permanent, full-time contract in a supportive and inclusive school environment\nCompetitive day-rate pay of £180‒£240, reflecting experience and commitment\nRewarding opportunity to make a real difference for young people who need an alternative to mainstream schooling\nA collaborative and compassionate staff team, committed to holistic student development \n\nAdditional Information\n\nEach candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required.
