This Sprinkler Pipe Fitter role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of service and maintenance activities supporting enterprise level systems across operational Gas and Water sites.As a Security Service Engineer, you will take ownership of planned and preventative maintenance tasks, respond to technical callouts, and support installation teams on larger projects when required. The Security Service Engineer will also assist with rapid deployment systems and temporary site solutions, ensuring systems remain compliant, reliable, and fully operational. This position is suited to a proactive Security Service Engineerwho enjoys varied work, national travel, and working within critical infrastructure environments. Further details of the Sprinkler Pipe Fitter role are outlined in the project brief provided.Key responsibilities• Service and maintain intruder alarm systems• Service and maintain CCTV systems• Service and maintain access control systems• Service and maintain intercom systems• Service and maintain perimeter detection systems• Service and maintain public address systems• Support deployment, removal, and servicing of temporary CCTV towers and PID systems• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance• Respond to technical callouts on a rota basis• Assist with fault finding and technical problem solving• Support installation teams on major project work when required• Deliver high quality service to new and existing customers• Travel nationally and stay away from home when requiredSkills and experience requiredEssential• Minimum two years' experience within a similar engineering role• Full UK driving licence• Client or industry site access accreditations such as SHEA Gas, Water Hygiene, or NG Persons• Strong knowledge of integrated enterprise level systems including CCTV such as Axis and Bosch• Experience with intruder alarm peripherals including PIRs• Experience working with perimeter detection systems• Experience working with access control systems• Experience working with intercom systems• Hands on experience with Gallagher systems• Hands on experience with Milestone platforms• Hands on experience with Commend systemsDesirable• Experience working with rapid deployment systems• Familiarity with fibre optic systems• Experience working within operational Gas or Water utility sitesWhat is on offer• Up to £45,000 salary depending on experience• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays• Company pension scheme• Life insurance after six months of service• Overtime pay for hours worked beyond contracted hours• Reimbursement of reasonable pre approved business expenses• Ongoing training and development opportunities• Long term promotion prospects within a growing organisation• Access to an employee assistance programme• Enrolment into a company discount platform• Employment subject to BS7858 vettingHow to applyIf this Security Service Engineer role is suitable for you and you are ready to progress your career as a Sprinkler Pipe Fitter, please apply with your CV as soon as possible.
