About the Role
A specialist school in West Molesey is urgently seeking a committed Teacher to join their team. This provision supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), as well as autism and ADHD. The school takes a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach with small class sizes and a focus on building relationships and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver differentiated lessons across the curriculum
Support pupils working below age-related expectations
Create a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
Build positive relationships to support emotional regulation and learning
Work alongside teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff
Adapt teaching to meet individual learning and wellbeing needs
Ideal candidates will:
Hold
QTS
or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have experience in primary or secondary teaching (SEMH or SEND experience desirable)
Demonstrate strong behaviour management using a relational approach
Be patient, resilient, and adaptable
Be committed to inclusive, trauma-informed practice
