Simply Education is recruiting for a Teacher to work within a specialist SEMH school that prides itself on a highly therapeutic ethos.
The school combines structured academic learning with emotional and behavioural support, ensuring pupils can re-engage with education in a meaningful way.
About the Role As a teacher, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including therapists, pastoral staff, and Teaching Assistants to deliver a holistic and nurturing educational experience.
The school follows a mainstream curriculum, meaning a teacher from a mainstream background (such as a Primary Teacher, English Teacher, Maths Teacher, Science Teacher, Humanities Teacher, PE Teacher, Art Teacher, ICT Teacher, etc.) can make a smooth and rewarding transition into this setting.
Your role will include: * Delivering engaging lessons within your subject specialism or across the primary curriculum, adapted to meet individual needs * Supporting pupils to access learning through differentiated, mainstream curriculum pathways * Building consistent, trusting relationships that promote emotional safety and regulation * Applying therapeutic approaches such as restorative practice and trauma-informed care * Supporting small group and 1:1 interventions for both academic and emotional development * Helping pupils develop coping strategies, resilience, and positive behaviours for learning * Managing and de-escalating behaviours through calm, reflective, and supportive responses What We're Looking For We are looking for a Teacher who: * Holds QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification * Has experience as a Primary Teacher or within a subject specialism (e.g.
