The Role – SEMH Teaching Assistant

Looking for a dedicated and empathetic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join this specialist school supporting children and young people aged 5–16. The role involves working across KS1–KS4 to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them regulate emotions, build confidence, and access learning. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, promote positive behaviour, and contribute to a nurturing, structured environment. A calm, flexible approach and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners are essential. Experience in SEMH or specialist settings is an advantage.

The School – SEMH Teaching Assistant

This mixed SEMH school based in Lewisham is home to approx. 100 KS1-4 pupils. This school is dedicated to being the most effective and innovate mixed provision for pupils with SEMH.
