Semi Accounts Senior

We are supporting a well‑established accountancy practice to recruit a Semi Senior. This is a hands‑on role for someone building confidence in accounts preparation and client work, with support from a friendly team and clear progression as you develop.
Responsibilities
Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Produce accurate working papers and maintain well‑organised files
Assist with corporation tax computations and returns (depending on the role split)
Support with VAT returns and bookkeeping where required
Liaise with clients to request records and resolve day‑to‑day queries
Work closely with seniors/managers to meet deadlines across a varied portfolio
Support junior colleagues with basic queries as you develop
Qualifications
Experience in a UK accountancy practice in an accounts role
AAT studying/qualified, or ACA/ACCA part‑qualified (helpful, not essential)
Strong attention to detail and a steady, organised approach
Confident using accounting software and Excel
Clear communication skills and a professional client manner
