Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Long-Term Opportunity Daily Rate: £160 – £280 per day Location: Twickenham Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced Primary SEN school. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and make a meaningful difference in their learning, development, and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will work with pupils who have severe educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The role involves delivering highly differentiated and personalised learning to support pupils in working towards their individual EHCP targets.
Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver tailored, differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEN needs Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals Implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Create a structured, safe, and nurturing learning environment Use adapted teaching approaches, sensory strategies, and visual supports where appropriate Monitor pupil progress and adjust teaching strategies to support individual development The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience working with pupils with SEN / SEND in a school or specialist setting Knowledge of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs, or learning difficulties A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and learning The ability to build strong relationships with pupils who require additional support Strong classroom management and inclusive teaching strategies QTS or relevant teaching qualification (desirable but not essential depending on experience) A strong understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing Why Join This School?
