We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Horley. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured environment and can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who need additional support.

The Role

As an LSA, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students both in and out of the classroom. A key part of your role will be helping pupils manage their behaviour, engage with learning, and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs Implement behaviour management strategies consistently and effectively Support students in regulating emotions and maintaining focus in lessons Build positive, professional relationships with pupils and staff Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning materials where needed Promote a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs A calm, patient, and resilient approach Strong behaviour management skills Ability to remain consistent and professional in challenging situations Team player with good communication skills A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
