About the Role We are looking for an inspiring, committed, and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a fantastic, inclusive school in Sheffield. The school caters for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and complex learning difficulties. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about creating accessible, personalised learning experiences and helping every child reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to individual needs Create a supportive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment Differentiate learning materials for a range of abilities Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, therapists, and parents Implement EHCP targets and track pupil progress Manage behaviour positively using school strategies Contribute to whole-school development and SEN best practice
What Were Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS essential) Experience teaching pupils with SEN (in mainstream or specialist settings) Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, differentiation, and behaviour support Creative, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching Excellent communication and collaborative skills Commitment to inclusive education Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
