SEN Teacher

Reeson Education seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Tutor to provide individualized or small group teaching sessions for children and young people who are currently unable to attend school due to medical, emotional, behavioral, or special educational needs.
In this role, you will work within the local community, delivering customized learning programs in various settings, including homes, libraries, and other safe, accessible venues. This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children facing considerable challenges.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide engaging, personalized instruction in English, Maths, and other core subjects. - Tailor learning materials to accommodate a variety of SEN profiles (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, medical needs). - Foster trust and build positive relationships with students and their families. - Monitor and report on student progress, engagement, and overall well-being. - Collaborate with schools, local authorities, and other professionals involved in the child's care. - Ensure the safety of pupils while maintaining clear professional boundaries at all times.
**The Ideal Candidate Will Have:**
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a further education teaching qualification, or relevant tutoring/mentoring experience. - Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs or those facing barriers to learning. - A nurturing, patient, and adaptable teaching style. - The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively. - Excellent communication and record-keeping skills. - An enhanced DBS check (or a willingness to obtain one).
