SEN Teacher

We are working with a wonderful SEN School in Hertfordshire (SG12) who are looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join them from January 2026. This is a secondary SEN setting, supporting pupils with ASD and communication needs, and the school are looking for someone confident, patient, and passionate about specialist education.

Location: Hertfordshire, SG12
Start Date: January 2026
Role: SEN Teacher – Secondary
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: M3 - UPS3 based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with ASD and communication needs

* Plan and implement tailored learning programmes across secondary age groups

* Work closely with the SENCO and support staff to ensure individual progress

* Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment

* Use communication strategies such as PECS, visual timetables, or sensory supports

About You:

* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

* Strong experience working in SEN settings

* Confident supporting pupils with ASD and communication differences

* Patient, nurturing, and committed to inclusive education
