SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Role: Teaching Assistant (Autism) Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time (Term-Time only) Do you have a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? We're looking for a caring, patient, and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Stockport, where your support will genuinely change a child's school experience. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating calm and structured environments, and helping pupils feel confident, safe, and understood. Due to the remote location, this role would be ideal for someone with own transport. Teaching Assistant Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ASC Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment Experience, Training & Qualifications Experience supporting children or young people with ASC (school or care setting) Understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices Relevant training (e.g. autism awareness, safeguarding) is desirable but not essential Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency for this vacancy.
