About the role A well-established, Ofsted-rated 'Good' specialist school is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs. You'll work closely with learners to help develop communication, independence, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning. Your day will involve: Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups Assisting with communication, sensory needs, and independence skills Helping pupils regulate emotions and stay engaged Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
What you'll need to succeed Experience with SEN, SEMH, ASD, MLD, PMLD, or complex needs Background as an SEN TA, Support Worker, LSA, or Care Worker Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
