About the Role
We are looking for a caring, proactive, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs reach their full potential.
You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and support staff to ensure that every child receives tailored, highsupport that meets their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and smallsupport for pupils with a range of SEN (including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and speech & language needs).
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
Help implement EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
Support pupils with social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
About You
Experience working with children with SEND (school, nursery, or care settings welcomed).
Compassionate, patient, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting young people.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt and use initiative in a fastschool environment.
A positive attitude and commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA Level 2/3, childcare, psychology degree) are desirable but not essential.
