The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, youll play a vital part in supporting students to achieve their goals in a safe, caring and inspiring learning environment. Youll work closely with teaching staff, provide 1:1 support and help deliver both academic and vocational learning
from classroom sessions to bushcraft, animal care and life?skills activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching staff by reinforcing learning and offering additional explanation where needed Promote safeguarding and the welfare of young people at all times Help students meet and exceed their Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) targets Support positive behaviour strategies and adapt your approach to individual needs Accurately record incidents, accidents and health & safety information Encourage participation in group activities, supporting social interaction and friendships About You
Experience in education or SEN settings is helpful but
not essential
what matters most is your ability to build trusted, professional relationships with young people.
Youre likely to be someone who: Can manage a range of behaviours, including behaviours that challenge Puts young people first and treats them as individuals Brings positivity, creativity and resilience to the role Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively Has good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills Can meet the physical demands of the role Qualifications: GCSE English & Maths (grade 4 or above) or equivalent
