SEN Teaching Assistant\nStart Date: January 2026\nLocation: Hounslow\nFull/Part-time: Full-time\nSalary: Negotiable depending on experience\n\nAbout the role/school\n\nWe are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving three-form-entry primary school in Hounslow from January 2026. This welcoming and inclusive school offers a warm environment where diversity is celebrated and every family feels heard.\n\nAs a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working within a school that supports a richly varied pupil body, with strong provision for pupils with additional needs including language, communication, behavioural, emotional, and social challenges. Ofsted has rated the school "Good," highlighting the strength of its teaching, leadership, and pupil support.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\nThe SEN Teaching Assistant role is full-time and structured across the school day. In the mornings, you will support two children in KS1 who present with challenging behaviour. In the afternoons, you will work closely with a child in Year 5 with Autism, SEMH, and challenging behaviour.\n\nKey responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant include:\n\nProviding consistent 1:1 and small-group support\n\nSupporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies\n\nWorking closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals\n\nCreating a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment\n\nSupporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development\n\nQualifications/Experience\n\nThe successful SEN Teaching Assistant will ideally have:\n\nExperience supporting children with Autism, SEMH, or challenging behaviour\n\nA calm, patient, and resilient approach\n\nStrong communication and teamwork skills\n\nEssential requirements:\n\nEnhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service\n\nRight to work in the UK\n\nNext steps\n\nIf this SEN Teaching Assistant position sounds of interest, or you would like to find out more information, please contact Carly at Teach Plus.\n\nAlternatively, please click 'apply' and we will get back to you as soon as possible.\n\nTeach Plus is a 5 star, Google rated, London based education recruitment agency.
