Job Purpose: The SEN Teaching Assistant will support teaching staff in delivering high-quality education and care for students with special educational needs. You will assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help implement personalised learning plans to meet individual student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with learning, communication, and behavioural needs in line with their individual education plans (IEPs).
Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting resources to meet diverse needs.
Provide one-to-one or small group support to students requiring additional assistance.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development.
Monitor and record student progress and share observations with teaching staff.
Support students with personal care, as required.
Assist with preparing classroom resources and maintaining a safe, organised learning environment.
