The Role

As a SEN TA, you will:

Work 1:1 or in small groups with nursery-level pupils in the ARP unit

*

Deliver targeted interventions to support learning and development

*

Support communication using PECS, Makaton, or other AAC systems

*

Assist with personal care and mobility support where needed

*

Help pupils develop independence, emotional regulation, and positive engagement

*

Work closely with class teachers, therapists, and the wider SEN team

*

Maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment

About You

*

Experience working in nurseries or primary school settings

*

Confident in using PECS and Makaton

*

Patient, compassionate, and resilient with a nurturing approach

*

Comfortable supporting personal care or physical needs

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills

*

Reliable, committed, and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners

*

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
