Teach Now is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in SEMH support to work within a caring and inclusive primary school in Islington.

You’ll be part of a well-established SEN support team, working closely with the SENCo and class teachers to ensure each child receives tailored emotional and academic support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEMH needs across Key Stages 1 and 2.
• Implement individualised behaviour and emotional support strategies.
• Help pupils develop self-regulation, resilience, and confidence.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic care.
• Monitor and report progress to contribute to SEN reviews and EHCP outcomes.
• Create a safe, structured environment that encourages positive emotional development.
Requirements Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Previous experience supporting children with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs.
• Knowledge of strategies such as zones of regulation, mindfulness, or restorative practices.
• A calm, caring, and consistent approach.
• A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
• The right to work in the UK.
