SEN Teaching Assistant – Bristol
Location: Bristol Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Bristol.
The role involves supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional needs Assist in delivering tailored learning activities Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Monitor and record pupil progress
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN (in school or similar setting) Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
