The Role
SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND in class
Deliver structured interventions in literacy and numeracy
Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
Support pupils communication and language development
Be confident in behaviour management
Liaise with teachers and external professionals to implement support plans
The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Will Have:
Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a primary setting
Understanding of EHCPs and targeted intervention strategies
Strong communication skills
Confidence supporting speech, language and social development
Calm, consistent approach to behaviour
