Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant\n\nLocation: Bromley\n\nAbout the Role\nAcademics are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in a specialist provision in Bromley, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and group support to help students access the curriculum, engage in learning, and develop confidence and resilience in a structured, nurturing environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport students with SEMH needs in accessing academic lessons\n\nWork 1:1 or in small groups to deliver tailored learning activities\n\nEncourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation in line with provision policies\n\nBuild strong, trusting relationships with students\n\nAdapt learning resources to meet individual needs\n\nWork collaboratively with teachers and support staff\n\nMaintain accurate records of student progress and report as required\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nExperience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs\n\nStrong understanding of behaviour management strategies\n\nAbility to motivate, engage and encourage students in learning\n\nEmpathetic, patient, and resilient approach\n\nGood communication and teamwork skills\n\nRight to work in the UK
