SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary/Secondary School - East London - £95-£115 per day (April - September Contract)
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in East London from Easter through to September. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured and inclusive environment.
The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop confidence, and make progress both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs) Support pupils with engagement, emotional regulation, and behaviour Assist in delivering tailored learning plans Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and support staff Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with SEN Patient, nurturing, and resilient approach Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needsThe School Offers:
