SEN Teaching AssistantSouth East LondonStart: Next TermPay: £100-£118 per day We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH through school in South East London, supporting pupils across both Primary and Secondary phases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people with additional needs, social-emotional challenges and behavioural barriers to learning. About the Role:* Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis* Assist with emotional regulation, engagement and behaviour support* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils* Use de-escalation strategies and proactive behaviour management* Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and external professionals* Promote a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment Requirements:* Experience working with children with additional needs or challenging behaviour (education, youth work, care, PRU or similar settings)* Strong behaviour management and resilience* Calm, empathetic and supportive approach* Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people* Ability to commit full-time from next term Benefits:* Supportive SEN leadership team* Ongoing training and development opportunities* Opportunity to make a real impact on pupil progress and wellbeing APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR VERITAS EDUCATION All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained You must have legal right to work in the UK You must be willing to attend a registration interview Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area.
