Horizon Teachers are supporting a Primary school in Croydon in their search for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with additional needs across Key Stages 1 and 2, including children with Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
In this role, you will play a key part in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially within a supportive school environment.
The Role
Provide 1:1 SEN support for two pupils across KS1 and KS2 Support children with Autism, ADHD and SEMH needs to access learning Use positive behaviour strategies to create a calm and supportive environment Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to deliver tailored support Encourage confidence, independence and emotional development About You
Experience supporting children with SEND (school or personal experience) Strong behaviour management and communication skills Patient, resilient and passionate about supporting children with additional needs Confident working across Key Stages 1 and 2 Why Join Horizon Teachers?
