SEN Teaching Assistant – Tower Hamlets Start Date: After Easter Holidays Duration: Ongoing role through to September (with potential to extend) Daily Rate: Competitive (dependent on experience) We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary/secondary school in Tower Hamlets seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter holidays. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in the classroom. The Role: Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis Assisting with learning, engagement, and emotional regulation Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO Supporting a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties Helping to manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment Requirements (ESSENTIAL): Previous experience working with SEN or in a childcare/school setting A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Strong behaviour management skills Confident, proactive, and patient approach Good level of spoken and written English Ideal Candidate: Experience working in a school (primary or secondary) Passion for supporting children with additional needs Psychology graduates or aspiring teachers/educational psychologists welcome Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff Why Apply? xehkeey Long-term, stable role through to September Supportive school environment Opportunity to gain valuable SEN experience Great stepping stone into teaching, psychology, or social work Interested?
