In this role, you'll work closely with young people aged 11-19, helping them access learning and develop confidence in a supportive environment. The students you'll support have a range of additional needs, including autism, learning disabilities, physical impairments, and sensory needs. Secondary & Post-16 Teaching AssistantRole and Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across secondary and post-16 classes. Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning programmes and ensuring pupils can access the curriculum effectively. Support the development of independence, life skills, and social engagement. Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets. Work closely with the school team, families, and external agencies to ensure a nurturing and inclusive environment. Secondary & Post-16 Teaching Assistant - What We're Looking For: Experience working with young people with SEND, ideally in a school, residential, or community setting. A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to managing behaviour Strong communication and relationship-building skills A commitment to helping pupils achieve independence and life success.
